Nibe ground Source Heat Pump case Study
Background
A community centre was being constructed adjacent to an existing church, Richard Crooks Partnership, the architects wished to heat the building using a ground source heat pump. This solution was provided by Natural Warmth Ltd.
Solution
A Nibe 1240 ground source heat pump was specified by Natural Warmth Ltd, the ground collectors where via 5 bore holes. The system was also fitted with a heat recovery unit which removes heat from the extracted air from other areas of the building and transfers that heat to the ground collector brine. The heat pump was connected to an underfloor heating system which was also designed and fitted by Natural Warmth Ltd.
Result
The heat pump and underfloor heating system heats the whole building to a constant, comfortable level. Comments have been made by the end users that it heats the building extremely well and is very easy to use and control.
