Case Study Replacing Oil Heating with an Air Source Heat Pump
Background
Mr & Mrs S contacted Natural Warmth with an objective of increasing the amount of heat in their home, doing this by eliminating the need for fosil fuel. The current heating fuel was oil.
Solution
After a number of on-site meetings with the client Natural Warmth`s recommendation was to remove the oil based system and install a Nibe 2005 12kw Air Source Heat Pump with VVM300 hot water and heating distribution unit. One drawback was the house was piped in 10mm pipe, to ensure the system worked effectively this pipe work had to be replaced.
The clients requirement that the heat pump was sited away from the house was overcome by trenching pre-insulated pipe-work from the Air Source Heat Pump to the house.
The conversion was completed with minimum disruption to the property.
Result
Although the property is a larger than average bungalow it is comfortabley heated with an the heat pump, It is a constant comfortable temperature which is easy to use and control.
