Natural Warmth Scoops Best New Business Award
NEWS RELEASE
WHEN IT COMES TO THE ENVIRONMENT
WE’RE THE BEST NEW BUSINESS IN THE TEES VALLEY!
Darlington-based company Natural Warmth has scooped first prize at a business awards ceremony staged at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough.
The company is the brainchild of Managing Director Steve Heslop and it specialises in installing environmentally friendly home heating and hot water systems for people who care about the environment.
Natural Warmth provides a low carbon way, for householders who care, to heat their homes and have a plentiful supply of hot water - without damaging the planet!
After receiving his award from television presenter Wendy Gibson, a delighted Mr Heslop said:
“This is a terrific achievement for a company that is not yet a year old.
“With orders coming in from places as far apart as Leeds, Harrogate, Catterick, Darlington and Stokesley we are convinced that the ‘green’ message is getting through – certainly in our part of the world.”
The awards were set up in 2000 by local financial advisor Colin Brown to recognise innovative new businesses in the Tees Valley. They are supported by Business Link and Tees Valley Unlimited, and almost a hundred entrants vied for honours.
Winning the category meant the fledgling company took home a cheque for £500, but for Mr Heslop, that was incidental:
“What’s more important is that it is crucial for everyone to consider the best way to heat their home.
“It is something we can all do to help protect the planet and save money at the same time, it’s a win-win situation.
“Our systems may not be for everybody, but we will talk to any home owner who is interested in looking at ways to do his bit toward reducing carbon emissions.
“We want people to consider our systems, but if what we offer isn’t right for a situation, we will say so and walk away.”
With about a dozen new heat pump orders on the books it seems certain that the future of Natural Warmth is heating up by the week.
